FlueSnug secures approval from Baxi

Baxi has given its seal of approval for the use of FlueSnug with its range of boilers and flues. Installed in seconds, FlueSnug meets the stringent air tightness standards required by Part L of the Building Regulations and offers significant benefits for installing in new builds and retrofitting in older buildings too.

FlueSnug secures approval from Baxi

When installed following supplier’s guidelines, FlueSnug seals are approved by Baxi for use with its Multifit 60/100 concentric flues and is recommended to replace any existing wall seals. This innovation negates the need for additional sealing, streamlining the installation process and ensuring a secure fit to the building’s fabric.

FlueSnug takes just seconds to fit into a standard 152mm core-drilled hole, providing a snug barrier against heat loss, drafts, damp and unwanted pests. Licensed exclusively by Talon, FlueSnug and PipeSnug are the only all-in-one solutions which meet Part L’s requirement to seal around pipework inside and out, without the need for sealant, mortar or expensive air sealing tape.

Making life easier for installers

FlueSnug makes it easy to service and maintain flues, without the need to disturb existing masonry, which is a significant time and cost saver. The durable design allows for the FlueSnug to be reused, so there is no need for repeated purchases. FlueSnug can also be fitted on the outside of a building from within, through the cored drilled hole, as they are flexible enough to be pushed out of the brickwork and rigid enough to pop back into place, providing an air and watertight seal flush against the wall. No other materials have to be used to seal the hole around the flue other than the seals. There is no need for costly scaffolding or ladders and the remove the health and safety risks in working at height.

“Baxi’s approval of FlueSnug reaffirms our vision at Talon to deliver top-tier, practical solutions in the industry,” says Dean Heathfield, Commercial Director at Talon. “We’re delighted that such a respected boiler manufacturer recognises the efficiency and innovation of FlueSnug, a product which makes life easier for installers in every way.”
