Worcester, Bosch Group recently hosted its annual Environmental 2020 Awards, which recognise those who have made an outstanding commitment to tackling climate change through the use of high-efficiency heating technologies.

Now in its 14th year the Awards continue to highlight best practice from installers that actively make strides to conserve the environment and enhance the environmental credentials of domestic properties.

The winners included:-
Greenstar oil-fired boiler installation: Mike Sellwood – M Sellwood Plumbing and Heating
Greenskies solar water heating installation: Richard Smith – Smiths Heating Services
Greenstore and Greensource heat pump installation: Richard Hows – Keogh & Hows

The Awards, which were first launched in 1999, also reward the artistic efforts of young people up to the age of 16 that have created outstanding artwork inspired by energy efficiency and climate change.

Six year old Advaidah Menon, 10 year old Kyan Hoque and 12 year old Emily Loraine won £500 of shopping and leisure vouchers for their efforts.

Managing director, Carl Arntzen, commented: “All of the winners are fully deserving of the awards. Every year the calibre of entries is improving and this year was no exception. Every entry has been extremely innovative and well considered, providing a bespoke solution to meet the homeowner or tenant requirements.

“By hosting our Environment 2020 Awards annually we hope to demonstrate a shared passion for energy efficiency and highlight those installations which have made a commitment to protecting the planet. The artwork category allows us the chance to see how the younger generations regard the environment through their inspirational and thought provoking pieces of art.”
