On a recent visit to the headquarters of the Worcester, Bosch Group, Chris Huhne, former secretary of state for energy and climate change, was questioned on a number of issues including the UK economy, the Renewable Heat Incentive, the Green Deal and feed-in tariffs.

Mr Huhne also commented on saving energy and reducing fuel bills.

“Consumers need to shop around in the short term to switch to a cheaper supplier and take extra steps like insulating their homes. The importance of having a good, efficient boiler to avoid wasting energy is also underlined.”

Whilst touring the company’s manufacturing and training facilities, Mr Huhne praised the company’s focus on training for both installers and apprentices.  “The apprenticeship scheme at Worcester, Bosch Group is absolutely crucial to the reputation that this company has for quality.  The company is a really good example of successful British manufacturing with high quality products and an effective operation.”

Richard Soper, chief executive, Worcester, Bosch Group, said: “We were pleased Chris Huhne took the time to see for himself the level of time and investment we give to ensuring that we continue to manufacture the most efficient boilers we can.”
