Rigorous quality control and testing are keys to the success of the Tigerloop.  Each and every Tigerloop is functionally tested prior to delivery. Also, each Tigerloop is pressure tested for 10 hours to ensure the integrity of its seals for a safe installation.

New Navien loyalty scheme gets installers straight to the points

Navien has launched Navien Choice, a new loyalty scheme, open to all oil and gas boiler installers. There is a whole catalogue of high-quality rewards available, from wireless speakers and pizza ovens, through to PlayStation 5 consoles, BBQs, iPhones and holiday vouchers.

OFTEC COVID-19 update

All OFTEC services are fully operational, including the technical helpline, registration services and OFTEC Direct. Some staff are working from home so that social distancing guidelines can be followed by those staff who need to be in the office. Brits “baffled by boilers”

• Almost a third (29%) of boilers failed to receive a scheduled check due to lockdown delays. One in ten did not receive a check at all. • A quarter of Brits do not know that boilers require annual servicing, with a fifth (20%) of renters not knowing whether their boiler had been checked within the last 12 months • 40% of homeowners do not realise that having their boiler serviced can save them money

As we move to deliver a low carbon liquid fuel, we recognise that burning the fuel is only one piece of the jigsaw. The product has to be stored, transported and distributed to the end user. In Ireland, that’s where UKIFDA and FFI come into play.

After 51 issues of Oil Installer, Jane retires as editor

With vast experience of the downstream oil industry, Jane Raphael became editor of the Oil Installer’s debut edition in 2007. Fifty-one issues later, she has now retired from the position and now reflects on the industry’s ups and downs during her tenure.
