Adler & Allan (A&A) has launched Sockit, an innovative filtration system. The system is a simple and economical way of dealing with oil contaminated water being pumped out of oil tank bunds, manholes, vaults, sumps, retention ponds and ditches. It uses multi-stage filtration to remove hydrocarbons and sediment to almost non-detectable levels. Extremely efficient, reusable and recyclable, it can be used in a range of de-watering applications, without slowing the pumping process.
Harlequin’s easy to use technology
Anglo Nordic products – solving problems caused by FAME
With the introduction of up to 7% FAME in normal fuel, Anglo Nordic has seen an increase in sales of water finding paste, tank water absorbers, filters and fuel conditioners. As FAME fuels are hygroscopic, they act as detergents – cleaning the walls of the storage tank, allowing dirt and sludge to be sucked into the pipework and causing appliances to fail. Microbes can also flourish, adding to the sludge and causing poor performance.

The new SMS text message service from Kingspan
Kingspan Environmental’s SonicSignalman electronic oil-level monitoring system now has a new SMS feature, which will allow oil companies to send text messages to end-users. The SonicSignalman is a one-part device that uses the latest ultrasonic and GSM technology to remotely monitor remotely the level of oil in a customer’s tank. The new facility will enable oil companies to send updates to customers about promotions and planned delivery runs. Messages can be broadcast to all customers or sent to those in specific geographical locations. The information received back can be used to improve logistics, reducing the number of wasted deliveries and spreading periods of peak demand.
