The Life Award offers grants of up to £15,000 to projects that use plumbing knowledge and skills to improve the lives of others in the UK and abroad and where possible to transfer the skills and knowledge to others in the process. The closing date for Life Award applications is 30 June 2016.
The Support Fund is designed to raise the plumbing skill levels of disadvantaged groups or individuals. The fund can also support worthwhile charitable related projects that use plumbing skills for the benefit of the local community.
The Sport Award encourages sporting excellence across the plumbing industry. This may be by helping individuals or teams reach the next level, pass on their skills to others, or compete at regional, national or international events.
The Support Fund and Sport Award offer grants every quarter of up to £2,500 to people working in the UK plumbing & heating industry.
Following the success of the 2012, 2013 and 2014 BPEC Charity Life Awards when a total of almost £95,000 was given out to support a diverse range of projects, BPEC has again awarded more than £40,000 to support deserving projects from the 2015 applicants.
“The submissions we have received over the past three years have been fantastic, with real life-changing effects. The plumbing industry has demonstrated real skill and dedication,” says BPEC chairman Frank Glover.
