For over two years, Grant’s R&D team has been busy developing and trialling a new generation of clean burning, low emission and high efficiency boilers to meet EU emission changes planned to come into force in 2018.  The result is the all new ‘VortexBlue’ range of oil fired condensing boilers.

Available in a variety of  internal, external and combi models with heating outputs from 21kW to 36kW, the new VortexBlue oil-fired boiler combines the company’s existing proven condensing boiler technology with a revolutionary new state-of-the-art Riello ‘Blue Flame’ compact burner.

Boiler size was a particular area of concern and Grant confirms that all dimensions on the new models are the same as the existing ranges, making replacement of older products very easy. VortexBlue boilers are also compatible with all of Grant’s EZ-Fit flue systems.

“The introduction of the Grant VortexBlue epitomises how modern oil-fired burner technologies can deliver and sustain cleaner, reliable heating,” explains Anna Wakefield, marketing and corporate communications manager for Grant UK. “Our products, including the Vortex oil-fired boilers and renewable technologies, have been market leaders in efficiency, and the VortexBlue is another product which we believe will quickly set the standards in the marketplace.”

Meanwhile, Grant’s Vortex Pro oil-fired combi now includes a 24 litre expansion vessel as standard – a safeguard that provides expansion capacity for both the boiler and the heating system.

Grant’s latest Combi XS 26kW boiler is just 515mm wide and the slimmest model of its kind on the market. The 24 litre expansion vessel is normally fitted behind the front door on indoor and outdoor Vortex Pro combi boilers, but with the XS, it is supplied as an externally fitted kit.
