Property developer, Colin Goodwin has a passion for eco-friendly technologies and when it came to building his own home he wanted to be as green as possible. After much research, he chose a company which could supply and install a range of products.

A large PV array was installed in the garden to provide sufficient power to the property and to take advantage of the Feed in Tariff, whilst a Grant Aerona ASHE 21.5kW heat pump was chosen for the heating and hot water. This supplied a large buffer tank which in turn fed the underfloor heating and the hot water cylinder and was all controlled by a Grant Energy Management System.
Due to the size of the building and to manage those times when more people were in the property, the company’s Spira wood pellet boiler was also fitted. The Spira is at present the only MCS registered condensing self-cleaning pellet boiler on the market with an incredible 97% efficiency, eligible for the RHI. www.grantuk.com
