The second day of the IP Week programme, Wednesday 10 February, will commence with a conference to discuss ‘energy in a carbon constrained world’ with a keynote address from Bob Dudley, group chief executive, BP.
Louise Kingham, chief executive of the Energy Institute, says: “IP Week 2016 takes place just over a year since the start of falling oil prices, and weeks after COP21. The energy sector faces an exceptional set of challenges going forward. The conference programme will provide participants with opportunities to hear from a range of industry figures sharing their insights and driving the conversation throughout the week.”
IP Week conference speakers will review the outcomes of the Paris summit, the challenges and opportunities they will present for the industry, and what the sector needs to do to help meet the long-term climate change targets and contribute to a more sustainable economy.
