Worcester, Bosch Group has reaffirmed its commitment to installer, specifier and merchant training with the opening of a new £1.5 million training facility at its headquarters in Warndon, Worcester

Within the new academy – which takes the form of a 400m2 expansion to the company’s previous facility – are a number of innovative features, geared towards offering installers an authentic training environment. A 100m2 open-plan domestic training area features a life-sized single-storey brick building equipped with a wide selection of fully operational systems. It is intended that the new training academy will give installers the opportunity to increase their knowledge of complete system design through first-hand practice.

Studying industry trends and demand for training

Company training manager, Phil Bunce, said: “As well as the manufacture of high-efficiency heating products, training remains at the forefront of what we do on a daily basis, so it is crucial for us to keep our installers up to date with the latest product developments and legislation changes.

“Prior to opening our new training facility, we dedicated a lot of time to studying industry trends and demand for training, which is reflected in the academy itself and the range of courses we offer.  We are expecting to train and educate over 17,000 installers in 2012 at our various training facilities.”
